He racked up 10 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs and 9 RBIs last week in 6 games.

Just ask Placido Polanco, the Chicago (N) third baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the National League Player of the Week honors.
Polanco piled up 15 hits in 30 at-bats, 2 home runs and 7 RBIs while hitting .500.
In 2010 Polanco is batting .389 with 49 hits, 4 home runs, 17 RBIs, 6 walks, .440 OBP and has scored 25 runs. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Placido Polanco got one today. He scattered hits all over Wrigley Field to pace Chicago (N) to a 10-4 victory over Houston.
The Houston skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Polanco hit several that he is not supposed to hit."
P. Polanco singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off S. Perez in the 8th.
This season Polanco has hit at a .393 clip with 6 RBIs, 2 home runs and 9 runs scored. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | P Tim Lahey | strained back muscle | 3 days | 4 day(s) left | | P Sergio Mitre | strained elbow ligament | 6 weeks | 19 day(s) left (60-day DL) | | P Juan Cruz | torn bicep muscle | 5-6 weeks | On DL, eligible for return (60-day DL) | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 28-23, .549 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 2.5 GB | | Record at home | 15-10, .600 PCT | | Record on the road | 13-13, .500 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 2-4, .333 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 7-8, .467 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 6-6, .500 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 22-17, .564 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 3-7, .300 PCT | | Record in April | 15-8, .652 PCT | | Record in May | 13-15, .464 PCT |
