Wednesday, May 19th, 2010: Braves Wolf Has 15 Ks
Randy Wolf of the Atlanta Braves struck out an amazing 15 batters today at Bravos Park and whipped the Washington Nationals 4-1. Wolf allowed 4 hits and gave up no walks in a sensational mound performance.

"I really felt like I had complete command of all my pitches during the game," said a smiling Wolf when asked about his stellar outing. "These types of games don't happen all the time, so I'm going to savor this one for a while."

In 2010 Wolf has fashioned a 5-3 mark, 3.41 ERA and pitched 58 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .210 against him and he has logged 62 strikeouts.
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009: Milledge Slams 5 Hits for Washington
Lastings Milledge was on fire today and sparked his club to a 6-5 victory over the Mets. The Washington right fielder was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against New York (N) in a fine hitting display.

"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."

L. Milledge hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off W. Ohman in the 8th.

This year Milledge has hit at a .250 clip with 78 RBIs, 17 home runs and 57 runs scored.
Monday, August 24th, 2009: Hot Bat of Willits Burns Nationals
Reggie Willits really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Citizens Bank Park, the Philadelphia center fielder blistered the Washington Nationals for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 8-4 victory.

"Willits was too tough to get out today," the Nationals skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

R. Willits singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.

In the 2009 season Willits is batting .315 with 131 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 61 times and batted in 32.
