Saturday, May 29th, 2010: Suzuki Sizzles -- Smokes Blue Jays for 5 Hits
Ichiro Suzuki had an answer for everything the Toronto Blue Jays threw him today in the Chicago (A) 10-3 triumph at U.S. Cellular Field. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.

The Chicago (A) right fielder went 5 for 6 in the game to put his name in the record book.

Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Suzuki said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."

I. Suzuki hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

In 2010, Suzuki is hitting .389 with 3 home runs and 23 RBIs in 47 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .423 with 13 walks and 30 runs scored.
Monday, May 24th, 2010: Superstar MR Inks Deal with Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays have finalized a deal with All Star-caliber reliever Scott Downs that will extend his stay in Toronto at least 2 years and will pay out $21,380,000.

This year his season stats show Downs has 7 saves in 17 relief appearances with a 6-0 record and 1.23 ERA.
Monday, May 17th, 2010: Toronto's Accardo Injured
Dealing with injuries is part of the game and now Jeremy Accardo of the Blue Jays knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Baltimore Orioles while throwing a pitch. Diagnosed as a strained back muscle, the Toronto reliever is expected to miss 8 weeks. Accardo was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."

Accardo has no saves in 14 relief appearances this season with a 0-0 record and 1.16 ERA.
