The number just keeps getting higher and higher. Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it with 1 hit in the Los Angeles (A) 6-3 win over the Twins at Angel Stadium.
H. Kendrick singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th.

Thursday, April 29th, 2010: Kazmir Holds Minnesota Scoreless
Scott Kazmir allowed 5 hits while giving up 1 walk and collecting 8 strikeouts as Tampa Bay blanked Minnesota 1-0.

In the postgame interview Kazmir said, "I'm trying to keep the ball down and let guys put it in play. It worked for me today."

This year Kazmir has a 2-2 mark in 5 starts with a 4.85 ERA. He has given up 29 hits in 26 innings, struck out 30 and issued 9 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .284 batting average against him.
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010: Young Will Miss 2-3 Months
Minnesota fans will be disappointed to learn that Delmon Young developed a fractured foot while running the bases in today's game. After the doctor informed the Minnesota Twins manager that Young was expected to miss 2-3 months, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the right fielder could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.

Young is presently hitting at a .311 pace with 1 home run, 9 RBIs and has scored 10 times.
