Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it with 1 hit in the Los Angeles (A) 6-3 win over the Twins at Angel Stadium. H. Kendrick singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th.
In 2010 Kendrick has put up a .331 batting average with 45 hits, 3 home runs and 24 RBIs. |  | Thursday, April 29th, 2010: Kazmir Holds Minnesota Scoreless Scott Kazmir allowed 5 hits while giving up 1 walk and collecting 8 strikeouts as Tampa Bay blanked Minnesota 1-0.
In the postgame interview Kazmir said, "I'm trying to keep the ball down and let guys put it in play. It worked for me today."

After the doctor informed the Minnesota Twins manager that Young was expected to miss 2-3 months, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the right fielder could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
