Tuesday, June 1st, 2010: Sabathia Nabs AL #1 Pitcher Award
Veteran C.C. Sabathia put together quite a successful stretch in May for the Los Angeles (A) Angels, earning himself the American League Pitcher of the Month award.

Sabathia racked up a 4-0 record in 6 starts, posting a 2.66 ERA over 44 innings and striking out 35.

This season Sabathia has worked 85 innings with 80 strikeouts en route to a 8-1 record and a 2.96 ERA.
Thursday, May 27th, 2010: Great Day for Kendrick -- 5 Hits
Los Angeles (A) second baseman Howie Kendrick could do no wrong in today's 10-8 win over the Red Sox as he collected 5 hits.

"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Red Sox said to the press corps after the game.

Kendrick agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."

H. Kendrick doubled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off M. Bowden in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Papelbon in the 8th.

This year Kendrick is batting .343 with 8 home runs and 41 RBIs.
Monday, May 17th, 2010: AL Player of the Week Named

He ripped 13 hits in 26 at-bats, compiling a .500 average with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs.

This season Tulowitzki is batting .305 with 6 home runs.
