The Arizona League preseason begins today with the release of the 2010 schedule. Teams will be headed out for spring training shortly and will have to determine the makeup of their regular season rosters before Opening Day.

 | Saturday, September 19th, 2009: Bill Webster Captures AZL AZL MVP
The Arizona League has made it official -- Bill Webster is the winner of the AZL MVP.
In the 2009 season, the AZL (MIL) first baseman stood out with a .404 batting average, 15 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs and 39 RBIs. Webster also had 45 walks, posted a .508 on-base percentage and scored 43 times.
This weekend the SION Baseball Writers Association will present the trophy to Webster for being the AZL's top-rated batter. He will receive it at the association's annual awards dinner.

There's less room in Travis Becker's trophy case today as he picked up the 2009 Arizona League AZL Pitcher of the Year.
The talented AZL (MIL) Brewers star finished the year 7-2 with a 2.15 ERA. He struck out 68 in 75.1 innings while walking 30.
The SION Baseball Writers Association will present his trophy to him at the annual gathering this weekend.
