| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, June 1st, 2010: Blue Rocks Happ May's Top Hurler
May's best hurler was J.A. Happ of Wilmington. He overwhelmed CAR hitters all month long and captured the Pitcher of the Month award as he collected a 5-1 record in 6 starts.
The 27-year-old Happ added 43 strikeouts in 47 innings and 10 walks to his season record and compiled a 1.34 ERA. Other clubs hit .200 against him.
In 2010 Happ has a 6-3 record with a 2.24 ERA in 10 starts.

 | Tuesday, June 1st, 2010: Mulhern Wins CAR Batter of the Month
For a rookie just breaking in, Ryan Mulhern certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the CAR Batter of the Month award for May.
The 29-year-old first baseman for the Wilmington Blue Rocks hit .337 with 6 home runs, 15 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
This year Mulhern is hitting .324, produced 36 RBIs and 9 home runs, scored 25 times and gotten on base at a .435 rate.

In an impressive outing Joshua Miller hurled nothing but zeros at the Keys today at Salem Memorial Stadium. The Salem pitcher allowed 6 hits, fanned 3 and walked 0 in blanking Frederick 8-0.
So far this season Miller has a 6-4 record, 12 starts, 93.1 innings, 30 strikeouts and a 1.54 ERA.
