Saturday, May 1st, 2010: Red Sox-Pirates Deal: Bard for Bay
Today at a press conference the Boston Red Sox announced a trade has been completed with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Red Sox have shipped 19-year old minor league first baseman Félix Gardenas and 24-year old minor league starting pitcher Daniel Bard to the Pirates for 31-year old left fielder Jason Bay.

This season Bay is batting at a .287 clip with 2 home runs and 13 RBIs.
