 | Monday, April 12th, 2010: Great Stroke: Schierholtz Gets 5 Hits All game long San Francisco's Nate Schierholtz was rattling the walls at AT&T Park and banging out base hits against the New York (N) Mets. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Giants had a 9-1 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 26-year-old right fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." N. Schierholtz hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off J. Maine in the 9th. This year Schierholtz has hit at a .462 clip with 12 hits, 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |
