Sunday, September 27th, 2009: Statia Goes Yard 3 Times!
Fireworks exploded with regularity in the White Sox-Rangers game, but it wasn't a match that set them off -- it was the bat of Hainley Statia.

He belted 3 home runs in an awesome display of sheer power.

In the 14-4 Chicago (A) victory Statia stunned the Rangers pitching staff for 4 hits in 5 at-bats and knocked in 6 runs.

After the game, Statia said simply, "I saw everything they threw at me. Hitting was a piece of cake today...with lots of extra icing on it."

H. Statia singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off K. Gabbard in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off V. Padilla in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off L. Mendoza in the 9th.

This year Statia is hitting .288 with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .339 clip and scored 8 runs.
