 | Thursday, September 17th, 2009: Hunter Sensational, 5-5 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Chicago (A)'s Torii Hunter had a very special day against the Tigers when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Chicago (A) White Sox to a 11-7 win at U.S. Cellular Field. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Hunter said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." T. Hunter singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off J. Zumaya in the 8th. In 134 games Hunter is hitting .295 this season for the White Sox with 165 hits, 33 home runs, 101 RBIs, 29 walks, .329 OBP and has scored 83 runs . |
