 | Monday, February 22nd, 2010: $15,040,000 Lands SP Willis for Pirates The Pittsburgh Pirates have called a press conference later today to announce the signing of starting pitcher Dontrelle Willis to a 3-year, $15,040,000 contract. Both Willis and the Pirates are said to be very pleased to come to this agreement. Willis has collected 84 wins and 61 losses over his career with a 3.74 ERA. The 28-year-old hurler also has struck out 886 batters in 1217 innings and allowed 1255 hits. |
